I’ve always been passionate about helping others learn—meeting them where they are and designing solutions that move them forward. With experience in instructional design, facilitation, and training, I’ve crafted impactful learning experiences across instructor-led, virtual, and eLearning modalities. My career has taken me from restaurant training to education and instructional facilitation, and now, as an instructional designer, I develop innovative, data-driven learning solutions that bridge performance gaps and drive business success.
When developing training programs, I approach projects with an open mind, establish subject matter expertise quickly, and am not afraid to ask tough questions when problem-solving to ensure complex clinical concepts are translated into memorable, meaningful learning moments. My approach prioritizes creativity, accessibility, and alignment with organizational goals and brand guidelines to ensure learning makes a measurable impact.
As a lifelong learner, I stay at the forefront of instructional design best practices while supporting others in their professional growth. As a mentor for the Applied Instructional Design Academy (AIDA), I guide aspiring instructional designers by providing feedback on eLearning deliverables, leading bi-monthly coaching calls, and delivering specialized instructional design training.
Technical Skills include:
Articulate Storyline | Articulate Rise | Camtasia | Vyond | Adobe Captivate | Canva | 7taps | Microsoft Suite | Google Suite | Well Said Labs | Canvas LMS | Litmos LMS | Salesforce | Asana
Using the ADDIE model during the instructional design process:
🧩I first conduct a needs analysis to understand learning and performance gaps.
🧩Using backward design, I create an action map by identifying the desired end goal, the behavior changes required, and the practice activities needed to achieve them.
🧩 I develop the training plan and choose the appropriate modality and authoring tools.
🧩 In collaboration with SMEs, I create detailed design documents and storyboards to map out content structure, interactions, and assessments, ensuring alignment with learning objectives and business goals
🧩I design learner-centered experiences that align with learning objectives and leverage adult learning theories to enhance engagement, retention, and real-world application.
🧩 I love finding creative ways to bring learning to life, increase engagement and meet the needs of both the learners and the client.
When I'm not in the world of instructional design, I can be found reading, rocking out at concerts, traveling, listening to true crime podcasts, dominating family game nights, cheering on the sidelines of a soccer field or tennis court, or assembling a new puzzle.
Applied Instructional Design Academy Certification
The Applied Instructional Design Academy certification is the culmination of a 9-month program called Applied Instructional Design Academy. It is earned after e-Learning Development, Instructional Design, Articulate Storyline, and Articulate Rise badges are completed. Learners complete 80+ lessons, receive extensive coaching, and complete a rigorous set of learning activities with practice, extensive feedback, multiple revisions, and the completion of simulated client projects.
